DMCA Policy

Thru Wall respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our service to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement.

1. Notice of Claimed Infringement

If you believe that content accessible through thruwall.org infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., URL).
  • Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which your address is located.

4. Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.

5. Proxy Content

Thru Wall operates as a pass-through proxy. We do not host, cache, or store third-party content on our servers. Copyright claims related to content accessed via the proxy should be directed to the original content host.
